Dallas is a city that surprises many people when they first move there. It has the scale and energy of a major global metropolitan area, but it is often more approachable, affordable, and easier to navigate than coastal cities like New York or San Francisco. Over the last decade, Dallas has grown into a major center for medicine, biotechnology, technology, finance, architecture, and the arts, attracting people from all over the United States and internationally. Dallas has an amazing food/coffee/cocktail scene, and personally it reminds me a bit of LA.
